Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

The service

GoGermany is a self-study German language learning tool operated by Abdullah Tayyab ("we", "us"). By creating an account and using GoGermany you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

GoGermany is an independent learning tool. It is not a language school, not a certified training provider, and not an officially accredited course. Use of this platform does not constitute formal language instruction.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent) to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate information when registering.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your password.
  • One account per person. Shared or automated accounts are not permitted.
  • You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account.

Paid plans and refund policy

GoGermany offers a monthly Pro subscription and one-time Course Passes for individual levels.

  • Pro subscription: billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refund is issued for the unused portion of a billing period already paid.
  • Course Passes: one-time purchases that unlock a course level permanently. Because course content is made available immediately upon purchase and you expressly consent to immediate delivery at checkout, your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB) is waived for Course Passes once access has been activated.
  • Free trial: the Pro plan includes a 7-day free trial (card required). If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the first billing period. Cancellation during the trial results in no charge.
  • Exceptions: we will issue refunds in cases of verified technical failure that prevented access to paid content. Contact hello@gogermany.me.

No examination or outcome guarantee

GoGermany makes no guarantee of any language examination result, certification, visa outcome, employment outcome, or academic result. Progress and proficiency depend entirely on the individual learner's effort, aptitude, and circumstances outside our control. References to exam preparation (Goethe-Institut, telc, BAMF) describe the content coverage only — they are not a warranty that you will pass any test.

You use GoGermany entirely at your own risk for the purposes of self-study.

Content accuracy

We work to keep course content accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that grammar explanations, vocabulary, translations, or exercises are error-free. Language is nuanced and usage evolves. If you find an error, please report it to hello@gogermany.me. We are not liable for any decision made on the basis of content found on this platform.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute course content (grammar, vocabulary, exercises) in any form.
  • Reverse-engineer, exploit, or attempt to disrupt the platform or its infrastructure.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, scripts) to interact with the service.
  • Share account access or paid content with others.
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

Intellectual property

All course content — grammar explanations, vocabulary lists, exercises, lesson structure, and illustrations — is the intellectual property of GoGermany. You may use it solely for your own personal, non-commercial learning. Any reproduction, publication, or distribution without prior written permission is prohibited.

No warranty

GoGermany is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind — express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We may at any time modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, with or without notice, and we shall not be liable to you or any third party for doing so.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of income, failure to pass an examination, or any outcome related to immigration, employment, or academic applications.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or your use of GoGermany shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim, or €50 — whichever is lower.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under German law.

Account suspension and termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the platform, or engage in behaviour that harms other users or the service. Upon termination, your access to paid content ceases and no refund is issued for any remaining subscription period, except where required by law.

Changes to the service and these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of GoGermany after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We also reserve the right to change prices, features, or content at any time with reasonable notice.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin, Germany, to the extent permitted by applicable consumer protection law.
