German A1Chapter 6 of 24

Plural Forms

How German nouns change when there is more than one.

German plurals are not made with one simple ending. You need to learn the plural form together with the noun: der Apfel — die Äpfel, das Buch — die Bücher, die Flasche — die Flaschen. This chapter teaches the most common plural patterns and shows you how to use plural nouns with numbers, quantities, and everyday items.
